Research Progress in Long-chain Alkane Isomerization Zeolites Modification
As an important oil quality improvement technology,long-chain alkane isomerization is widely used in the production of high-quality clean oil.The isomerization reaction of long-chain alkanes usually adopts bifunctional molecular sieve catalysts,in which metal active center provides the hydrogenation-dehydrogenation function and zeolites provides the suitable acidic center and pore structure to achieve the isomerization function. Therefore, modification of zeolites to adjust its acidity and pore structure is one of the main methods to improve the performance of the isomerization reaction.Combined with the research progress at domestic and international, various methods of modification, such as ion-exchange modification,de-alumination modification, desilication modification and heteroatom loaded treatment,on physical and chemical properties of zeolites, were discussed in detail. The effects of these modifications on the performance of isomerization reactions of long-chain alkanes were also explained.Additionally,an outlook of zeolites modification for isomerization of long-chain alkanes was presented with reference to the current research status.Compared to the single zeolite modification method, the modulation for acid properties and pore structure of zeolite by the combination of multiple modification methods were more applicable and flexible.
