Modified Preparation and Performance Test of Adhesive for Piano Birch Plywood
In order to reduce the cost of adhesive for piano birch plywood and improve its environmental friendliness, soybean meal or cottonseed meal was used as the protein base, and urea, silk wastewater, and water-soluble PAE resin were used as modified materials to prepare adhesive materials for piano birch plywood, and multiple experiments were conducted. The results showed that, compared with soybean meal as the protein base, the solid content and viscosity of cottonseed meal protein based adhesive materials were improved, and the bonding strength was better; Urea could increase the solid content and bonding strength of adhesive materials, while reducing viscosity. Among them, urea modified cottonseed meal adhesive material had a solid content of 23.70%(mass fraction), a viscosity of 1891 mPa·s, a dry bonding strength of 1.308 MPa, and a wet bonding strength of 0.525 MPa; When using urea and 16% composite modifier to prepare cottonseed meal adhesive material, the solid content was 23.85%(mass fraction), the viscosity was 950 mPa·s, and the dry and wet bonding strengths were 1.558 MPa and 0.941 MPa, respectively, which meet the national standard for Class Ⅱ plywood and have good thermal stability. In summary, this adhesive material has a good application effect in piano birch plywood and is worth promoting.
