Preparation and Applications of Multiphase Catalysts for CO2 Cycloadditio
The synthesis of cyclic carbonates by CO2 cycloaddition is an efficient CO2 utilization reaction. In this paper, a novel multiphase solid catalyst was prepared by solidifying imidazole-based ionic liquid on chlorine spheres as carrier, and it was used to catalyze the synthesis of propylene carbonate. Its catalytic performance was evaluated on a fixed bed reactor. The effects of temperature, pressure, air velocity, ratio of reactants on the reaction were examined. The results showed that the catalyst had very high catalytic activity. When the reaction temperature was 130 ℃, the pressure was 2 MPa, the air velocity was 0.6~0.8 h-1 and the molar ratio of CO2 to propylene oxide feed was 2.5:1, the conversion of propylene oxide could be more than 95% and the selectivity of propylene carbonate was around 98%.
