Research on Separation of Methanol-Dimethyl Carbonate Azeotrope by Chemical Method
Aiming at the problems of complex separation process of methanol-dimethyl carbonate binary azeotrope, high reaction energy consumption and serious environmental pollution, the chemical method of esterification reaction between maleic anhydride and methanol was used to separate the azeotrope, and the high value-added product dimethyl maleate was prepared at the same time. The effects of catalyst, catalyst dosage,water-carrying agent,water-carrying agent dosage, reaction time and molar ratio of alcohol to anhydride on the separation effect of azeotrope and esterification yield were systematically investigated. The results showed that the conversion of maleic anhydride, the yield of dimethyl maleate and dimethyl carbonate were 97.10%,96.80%and 97.00%,respectively,when 1.0%ionic resin catalyst,15%cyclohexane water-carrying agent and the ratio of alcohol to anhydride 3.0 were added, and the reaction time was 9 h.
