Influence of Different Calcination Process on Performance of Molecular Sieve Adsorbent with Low Si/Al Ratio
In order to solve the problem that the performance of molecular sieve adsorbent with low Si/Al ratio is affected in the roasting activation process, the dry hot air furnace and continuous vacuum calcination furnace were designed, and the tests were carried out in three processes of new mesh belt furnace, dry hot air furnace and continuous vacuum calcination furnace. The experimental results showed that all three calcination methods could meet the requirements for removing water from the adsorbents. However, the continuous vacuum calcination furnace showed the best effect on both calcination quality and energy consumption, due to its sealing, continuous feeding and discharging.Under this calcination process, the adsorbent adsorption loss was 0.9%,the crushing rate loss was 0.53%,and the energy consumption per ton of product was 0.021 t standard coal.
