Effect of Cracking Temperature on Properties of Hydrocracked Products
The equipment for producing API class Ⅲ base oils from hydrocracking tail oil has strict requirements for hydrocracking raw materials, and generally requires paraffin-based or metaparaffin-based raw materials. In order to expand the feedstock source and reduce the production cost, the effect of the reaction temperature of the cracking section on the product distribution and product properties was investigated in the hydrocracking pilot plant by using intermediate base wax oil as the feedstock, blending with Mobil wax,and adopting the catalyst gradation system of FBN/FDM/FF-66/FC-28/FF-66 as recommended by FRIPP.The result showed that by increasing the reaction temperature of the cracking section, the naphtha fraction yield of the hydrocracked blended oil increased and the aromatic potential decreased;the diesel fraction yield increased, the density obviously decreased and the cetane index increased;the unconverted oil yield decreased and the viscosity index first increased and then decreased, providing tail oil feed with high viscosity index for downstream isodewaxing unit to produce second-class and third-class lube base oil.
