Effects of Temperature and pH on the Corrosion Behavior of X80 Steel in Fushun Soil Simulation Solution
X80 steel has been widely used in China's oil and gas transmission pipelines, and soil corrosion is an important factor affecting its safe operation. This article investigated the corrosion behavior of X80 steel and its welds in Fushun soil simulated solution under temperature and solution pH values through methods such as potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance. The results indicated that as the temperature increased, the corrosion rate of X80 steel gradually increased. As the pH of the soil simulation solution increased, the corrosion rate of X80 steel gradually decreased, and this was mainly related to the influence of temperature and pH value on the conductivity and dissolved oxygen of the solution.
