Selective Hydrogenation of Furfuryl Alcohol to 1,2-Pentanediol
Selective hydrogenation of furfuryl alcohol to 1,2-pentanediol is a complex reaction, which has many problems such as poor selectivity, high by-product and high cost.A new Cu-CLXC catalyst was synthesized and showed excellent catalytic activity for hydrogenation of furfuryl alcohol in a fixed bed reactor under mild conditions(reaction temperature 160℃,reaction pressure 5 MPa,airspeed 0.3 h-1),the conversion of raw materials was>99.9%and the selectivity of 1,2-pentanediol was>60.0%,the activity and stability of the catalyst were higher than that of the reported catalysts after running for 2000 h.
