Stress Analysis and Optimal Design of High-Temperature and Hot-Oil Pipeline in Crude Distillation Unit
In order to ensure reliability and safety of the pipeline layout and flange connection, stress analysis of the high-temperature pipeline is important and essential. In this work,CAESAR Ⅱ software was used to check the primary stress and secondary stress of the high-temperature and hot-oil pipeline in crude distillation unit. The key data such as thermal displacement, restraint force and moment of each node were analyzed. The L-shaped and Z-shaped natural compensation schemes were considered, and the pipeline layout was reasonably deployed. Also, the support&hanger design was optimized.Kellogg equivalent pressure method was used to check the reliability of the flange connection between the pipeline and nozzles of the hot-oil pump and the atmospheric tower. These efforts finally ensured the safe and long-term operation of the hot-oil pipeline.
