Leakage Risk of Crude Oil Storage Tank and Fire Protection Measures
A heavy crude oil tank was taken as the research object to investigate the influence of different factors on the corrosion rate of the tank bottom steel, and the fire extinguishing performance of the new high-efficiency foam extinguishing agent SF-1 on the simulated crude oil tank was evaluated. The results showed that with the gradual increase of water content, dissolved oxygen mass concentration in crude oil and experimental temperature, the corrosion rate of steel on the bottom plate of crude oil storage tanks gradually increased;the corrosion rates of Q235 and Q345 steel were relatively high, while the corrosion rate of stainless steel 304 was relatively low.The new high-efficiency foam extinguishing agent SF-1 had good extinguishing effect on the simulated crude oil storage tank. The greater the foam supply intensity and foaming ratio, the longer the 25%liquid separation time of foam, the shorter the extinguishing time and the higher the extinguishing efficiency of the simulated crude oil storage tank.
