Preparation and Properties of Dopamine and LDH-modified PVDF Ultrafiltration Membranes
PVDF has special hydrophobicity, and in the process of separating wastewater, contaminants covering the membrane surface and clogging the membrane pores will lead to a decrease in the permeation performance of the membrane.LDH/PVDF-modified membranes and polydopamine(PDA)-coated LDH/PVDF-modified membranes were prepared by adjusting the ratio of the hydrotalcite(LDH)additive and the time of the modified membranes immersed in a buffer solution containing dopamine hydrochloride using the submerged precipitation phase transition method. The changes in the properties of the modified membranes, such as porosity, average pore size, water flux, retention rate, contact angle, and contamination resistance, were tested. The experimental results showed that when LDH was added at 3%,the porosity was maximally increased by 15.35%compared with the pure membrane, and the average pore diameter was increased by 8.48 nm.The membrane flux was maximally 943.22 L·m-2·h-1,which was increased by 382.95 L·m-2·h-1 compared with the pure membrane, and the pollutant deposition in the membrane pores was reduced, the percentage of reversible pollution was elevated, and the pollution resistance was the strongest, and the flux recovery rate after cleaning was 81.5%,which was improved by 34.2%compared with pure membrane M0.
