Study on Effect and Mechanism of Microplastic Aging on Adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ)
Aging of microplastics can increase their specific surface area and surface complexity, significantly improving their adsorption performance.Aged microplastics are more likely to adsorb heavy metal pollutants and form a composite ecological pollution source, which will seriously endanger human health. In this article,Lagergren's pseudo first order and pseudo second order adsorption kinetics models,Langmuir adsorption isotherms and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models were used to fit and analyze the adsorption experimental data results. The results showed that the maximum equilibrium adsorption capacity of aged PE was 204.113 μg·g-1,approximately 1.81 times of the value before aging.
