Research and Application of Heat-Tolerant and Salt-Resistant Polymer Microspheres in Offshore Reservoir with Low Permeability
Aiming at the problem of poor water flooding effect in offshore oilfield with high temperature and high salt and low permeability,heat-tolerant and salt-resistant polymer microspheres were developed to stabilize oil production and control water cut.The mechanism of the system was analyzed by physical and chemical properties evaluation, core displacement and microscopic displacement tests. The static apparent performance, high temperature stability, hydration expansion, injection performance, plugging performance, enhanced oil recovery performance and microscopic oil and water distribution of the heat-tolerant and salt-resistant microspheres system were studied. The experiment results showed that NWY-1 microspheres could form a uniformly dispersed system and maintain good stability after aging at high temperature for 40 d.The system reached a maximum particle size of 7.70 μm after 30 d of hydration expansion and the particle size remained unchanged after the extension of hydration time. The injection and plugging properties of the system in porous media was good and the overall recovery factor was increased by 7.9%in core flooding test. The channel of water channeling in porous media was blocked by the system and the subsequent injection flow was diverted. The field application showed that the injection well was blocked and the oil of production well was increased significantly. The effective period of the measure was 262 d and the accumulated oil increase of the well group was 7 829 m3.
