The Coupled Coordination Development of Four Chains in Chnese Manufacturing Industry:Statistical Measurement and Evolutionary Trends
Promoting the integration of industry chain, innovation chain, capital chain and talent chain is not only a strategic initiative to implement the new devel-opment concept and build a new development pattern, but also an important sup-port for the construction of a modern industrial system and an important hand in improving the national innovation system.Based on the data of 30 provinces in Chi-na from 2012 to 2021,this study measures and analyses the coupling coordination degree of Chinese manufacturing industry chain, innovation chain, capital chain and talent chain(hereinafter referred to as the"four chains")using the coupling coordi-nation degree model, examines its temporal evolution and spatial difference sources using the kernel density estimation method and the Dagum Gini coefficient, and in-vestigates the main factors affecting the coupling coordination degree of the"four chains"of Chinese manufacturing industry by using the obstacle degree model. The results indicate that the national manufacturing industry's"four chains"have expe-rienced a year-on-year increase in their coupled and coordinated development and the overall level of coupled and coordinated stage is at a moderate level;the devel-opment of the innovation chain subsystem continues to lag behind that of the indus-trial,financial and talent chain subsystems; In addition to the"industrial chain-fi-nancial chain",the coupling and coordination degree between the other subsystems"two by two"are all showing a growing trend;the regional differences in the cou-pling and coordinated development of the"four chains"in the national manufactur-ing industry roughly show an inverted"U"trend of rising and then declining, which is mainly due to the inter-regional differences;at present, the main obstacles faced by the national factor layer are industrial chain width, innovation environment,cap-ital turnover capacity and talent structure. The study presents recommendations for encouraging inter-regional cooperation, optimising the incentive mechanism for in-novation,improving the financial support system, and leading talents to return to the real sector of the economy.
