Influenced by the traditional exam-oriented education model,the teaching quality of Chinese reading is not high,and students lack interest in reading. The method of whole book reading teaching is more suitable for students to start their reading journey. This paper holds that in the teaching of whole book reading,teachers can guide students to master reading skills and form reading thinking from the accumulation of reading experience,which can help students achieve profound understanding of reading knowledge. Students can engage in organized learning,thinking,and communication through the application of thinking visualization tools in the teaching of whole book reading.
