Currently, the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in universities and the ability of teachers to serve the regional economy are important indicators for measuring the social influence of universities;Cultivating students'practical and innovative abilities is the basic capability that applied universities should possess. When serving local economic development, college teachers should give full play to their practical,industry-oriented,and market-oriented characteristics to empower regional advantageous industries. However, currently applied universities face many challenges in the construction of their teaching staff, such as imbalanced distribution of faculty structure, emphasis on scientific research over practice while recruiting teachers, insufficient part-time teachers in substantive enterprises, single channels for teachers'social practice, and teachers'weak desire for empowerment.Ultimately, these challenges stem from incomplete school transformation, insufficient integration of schools and enterprises, lack of government funding support, and imperfect assessment and incentive systems. To enhance the ability of application-oriented teachers to serve the local economy,it is necessary to deepen the integration of industry, universities, and research institutions, create a reasonable atmosphere for transformation, and improve teachers'identification with transformation; The linkage of Industry, education and city, combines characteristics and needs, with equal emphasis on theory and practice; The cooperation between schools, government and enterprises breaks the"butterfly effect"and provides teachers with all-round path support; The integration of economy, science and education explores a moderately coupled teacher incentive mechanism, and builds a"regional growth community"to assist applied university teachers in empowering regional advantageous industries.
