Research on the Demand for Climate Change Curriculum in Colleges and Universities
Based on the survey data for 1 056 college students,this paper investigates the willingness and characteristics of contemporary Chinese college students'demand for climate change courses.The results show that 80%of students are willing to take climate change courses and the willingness to participate is related to factors including concern and perception of climate change.The most favorable credit setting,assessment and teaching methods are 1 point,practice report and visiting/on-site teaching.The priority order of climate change course content is:the impacts and consequences>mitigation measures>causes>process and history>politics of climate change>economics of climate change.Finally,policy recommendations in terms of advancing curriculum construction,strengthening talent cultivation,and optimizing the mechanism of climate education are proposed.
