In the new historical era, the common development of all nationalities with the theme of national unity has become an important part of Chinese-style modernisation. To strengthen the construction of Chinese national community consciousness of ethnic minority college students, it is necessary to take the scientific Marxist theories of dialectical materialism and historical materialism as the guiding ideology, and the position, viewpoints and methods of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on strengthening and improving national work as the cultivating grasp, in order to bring into play the synergistic force of all parties, and to jointly promote the education of ethnic minority college students ' Chinese national community consciousness. Specifically, efforts should be made to focus on the following aspects:first, increasing the education of minority students in Marxist theories of national unity;second, promoting the correct understanding of minority students of Xi Jinping 's new-era Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics on nationalities; third, strengthening the cultivation of the socialist core value system for students in ethnic colleges and universities; and, fourth, Strengthening the construction of the"Pomegranate Project"and the building of student cadres in ethnic colleges and universities. Ultimately, this will make ethnic minority students truly capable people who support the leadership of the CPC and subscribe to the core values of socialism.
