Ideological and political education should focus on field investigation,which stems both from the inherent fit between the two and inherent need for the innovative development of ideological and political education. Ideological and political education to carry out field research adheres to the principles of seeking truth from facts,the mass line and the integration of the old and the new,fully highlighting the intrinsic mechanism of truth-seeking,people's nature and innovation. To carry out solid and effective investigations in the field of ideological and political education,it is important to be rooted in theory,identity,consciousness and technology,so as to truly realize walking into this field and immersing oneself in it,drawing theoretical and methodological sustenance from it,and conveying source water for the research on ideological and political education,so as to effectively maintain the sustained vitality and growth force of ideological and political education.
