Research on Influencing Factors of Teachers'Emotional Labor:Development Context and Practical Implications
Teaching is a job involving high-intensity emotional labor, and teachers are typical emotional workers.Studying the influencing factors of teachers'emotional labor not only helps researchers to reflect on the complexity of teachers'emotional labor, but also helps teachers to improve teaching quality.Since the 1990s,continuous and in-depth research on the influencing factors of teachers'emotional labor have been conducted. They can be roughly divided into three categories according to their different theoretical methods:The first category uses psychological dynamics method analyze individual influencing factors of teachers'emotional labor. This kind of intrinsic emotional model contributes greatly to the understanding of individual influencing factors of teachers, but it also has the limitation of ignoring the social and cultural background of teachers. The second category uses the method of social constructivism to analyze factors affecting the social relations of teachers'emotional labor. This kind of emotional factor analysis lays more emphasis on teachers'social and cultural experience, but still belongs to the binary research thinking of individuals and society. The third category uses the method of interactionism to analyze the influencing factors of emotional labor in the dynamic interaction between teachers and society. This integrated research thinking takes into account the internal and external influences of teachers'emotional labor, but the existing research is more influenced by post-structuralism and feminist theories, and further exploration is needed.
