Characteristic and Enlightenment of Grade K-9 Mathematics Curriculum Standards in Canadian BC Province
BC Province of Canada launched a new round of mathematics curriculum reform,and introduced the new mathematics curriculum standard for grade K-9.The main features of the new mathematics curriculum standard are the establishment of core literacy oriented curriculum objectives to cultivating high-quality citizens,constructing a trinity curriculum model emphasizing both theory and practice,designing the internal logic of knowledge,paying attention to diverse culture and highlighting the comprehensive integration of indigenous culture.Based on the experience and characteristics of mathematics curriculum reform in BC province,combined with the actual situation of mathematics curriculum reform in compulsory education in China,it is suggested to further clarify the nature of mathematics curriculum,accurately locate the curriculum objectives;strengthen the integration of curriculum content,and actively build a coherent and flexible curriculum system;give into account the core ideas and ability cultivation,highlight the cultivation of financial literacy;create a personalized and information teaching environment,and pay attention to continuous evaluation and guidance.
