Cultural Learning:Connotation,Brain Science Mechanism and Teaching Enlightenment
Cultural learning,a social learning method based on deep understanding of others'minds, enables acquisition of cultural information, including concepts, skills, and customs, via indirect learning. Its realization requires three elements:internal cognitive foundation(deep understanding of others'minds),external environmental conditions(contact or interaction with others),and implementation approach(indirect learning through others).Cultural learning encompasses imitative learning, instructed learning and collaborative learning. It relies on mirror neurons in the brain, which turn understanding of others'feelings, intentions, beliefs, etc.into automatic neurophysiological processes. The aim of school education is to transmit excellent human culture to students in a way that they are willing to accept. It is essential to prioritize teachers'guidance and modeling roles, establish student learning communities, and transmit scientific and cultural achievements through narrative education.
