Mechanisms of Digital Awareness for Professional Development of Preschool Teachers in the Western China
Improving digital literacy is crucial for teachers'professional development amid the digitization of education.A survey of 1036 preschool teachers in Western China used multiple regression analysis and mediation effects models to investigate how digital awareness,technology knowledge,skills,and applications enhance teachers'professional growth.The study found that access to digital resources and training significantly influences teachers'development.Knowledge and skills in digital technology,along with digital applications,serve as both independent and interconnected mediators in transforming digital awareness into professional growth.The results highlight the essential role of digital awareness in teachers'development and the potential of digital technologies and applications to foster this transformation.These findings are significant for establishing a comprehensive professional development framework for preschool teachers and promoting digital literacy-based professional growth.
