ANALYSIS OF MODULAR AND EXPANDABLE LABORATORY LAYOUT: A CASE STUDY OF THE SHENZHEN MEDICAL SCIENCE ACADEMY AND ITS EXPERIMENTAL BASE PROJECT
This paper summarizes the core issues and development trends in current laboratory building de-sign, analyzes and compares advanced experiences in laboratory building at home and abroad. Through the derivation of modular design in laboratory building, and considering the practical characteristics and design requirements of construction projects, this paper puts forward a series of suggestions on the modular compo-sition and growth potential of biological, medical and chemical laboratory buildings. Taking Shenzhen Academy of Medical Sciences and its experimental base project as an example, this paper discusses the strategy of modular and growable laboratory layout in order to help the de-velopment of laboratory architectural design.
