RESHAPING CULTURE OF THE HISTORIC DISTRICT: TAKING WENSHU FANG INTEGRATION PROJECT PRACTICE AS AN EXAMPLE
This paper takes the planning and design practice of Wenshu Fang integration project as an example, relying on cultural heritage, focusing on the revitalization of cultural context, spatial scenes and busi-ness operations. The practice involves various aspects, including the integration of regional culture and space, historical preservation and organic renewal, street and lane networks and spatial patterns, traditional forms and modern spaces, as well as business operations and scene creation. Through these perspectives, this paper reflects on and summarizes experiences of the organic renewal and planning design in historical cultural districts, and offeres strategies and recommendations.
