OBSERVATIONS AND PRACTICES BASED ON TRADITIONAL TIMBER CONSTRUCTION CONCEPTS
Based on the observation of traditional Chi-nese timber construction, this paper discovers two cher-ished construction concepts for furniture structure and continuous construction. It analyzes the reasons for their emergence one by one, deduces the active construction strategies, and lists a series of practices that apply them in the present. After reflection and discussion, we came up with a reference path that follows construction concepts rather than antique morphological symbols in the context of traditional architecture. We hope that the sustainable clues that implicit in these two paths can provide certain ecological construction inspiration for current architec-tural practice.
