EXPLORATION OF CONTEMPORARY HAKKA PUBLIC ARCHITECTURE DESIGN BASED ON "TWO VIEWS AND THREE CHARACTERISTICS"
In recent years, with the gradual growth of regional architectural research, there have been more contemporary Hakka public architectural practice in the Hakka area. How to inherit and retain the essence of traditional Hakka architecture culture, is the main concern of the development of Hakka public architecture at pre-sent. Based on the design theory of "two views and three characteristics" proposed by Academician He Jingtang, this paper summarizes the construction characteristics and connotation of traditional Hakka architecture and culture. Combined with practice, this paper analyzes the design strategies of contemporary Hakka public build-ings in three aspects of environmental adaptation, spatial reconstruction and cultural symbol extraction, from the perspectives of regionalism, times and culture, to provide some references for the design of public buildings in Hakka area.
