ENDLESS VICISSITUDES: ANALYSIS OF ARCHITECTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ST. NICHOLAS CATHEDRAL IN HARBIN (1900—1966)
This paper takes St. Nicholas Cathedral as the research object, focusing on its architectural preservation stage from 1900 to 1966. Based on the historical context, it delves into its architectural representation, internal form and practical value from the dimensions of time, culture and value. The aim is to restore the historical form of architecture, to showcase the multidimensional value of such disappearing architectural heritage, and to reveal the meaning of architecture to the city,as well as what is pluralistic coexistence, disappearance and regeneration.
