NEW WITH THE OLD: FREQUENT STONE ARCHITECTURAL VENUES FIXED WITH TRADITIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP AND MODERN CONSTRUCTION
This paper focuses on the comprehensive transportation hub and urban complex in front of the Pingtan High-speed Rail Center station as the research subject. Through on-site investigations, interviewing with craftsmen and reviewing literature, this paper explores the contemporary construction of stone architectures. The goal is to create a stone house complex with regional culture and architectures aesthetic features, in order to provide technical support that can be widely promoted for the preservation and revitalization of stone buildings, and to offer a design approach for similar projects.
