EXPLORATION OF MICRO-RENEWAL IN HISTORIC DISTRICTS BASED ON PLANNING DESIGN AND GOVERNANCE STRATEGIES:TAKING PRAC-TICE OF MICRO-RENEWAL IN THE QIMINGLI AREA OF CHANGDI HISTOR-ICAL CULTURAL BLOCK IN JIANGMEN CITY AS AN EXAMPLE
As significant emblems of urban culture,his-toric districts are increasingly valued,with protection ef-forts flourishing across the nation.However,there needs to be more theoretically tested support for achieving deep and sustainable cultural inheritance and revitaliza-tion of these districts beyond their preservation.This pa-per delves into the micro-renewal efforts in the Qimingli neighborhood of the Changdi historical cultural district in Jiangmen,explores strategies of planning design and governance that include cultural leadership and spatial activation along with industry revitalization and sustained governance.Through the implementation of the Qimingli project and the continuous deep cultivation of cultural IP activation in recent years,this paper offers a vibrant example of multidimensional micro-renewal in historic districts.
