RESEARCH ON THE DESIGN OF ELDERLY CARE INSTITUTIONS IN GUANGZHOU CENTRAL CITY
Taking the central urban area of Guangzhou as the research object,this paper randomly selects 10 elderly care institutions to conduct field investigations and interviews,and summarizes that the existing prob-lems mainly involved five aspects:site planning,spatial organization,public space ratio,functional configuration and age-appropriate design,and then proposes design strategies.The research shows that the site planning should improve the barrier-free access conditions and make organization of pedestrian flow line reasonable.The flexibility of space organization should be improved,and the functional compound and time-sharing utiliza-tion of space should be emphasized.In the proportion of public space,it is necessary to rationally increase the number of beds,ensure the stability of the proportion of public space,and find the balance point between them.Functional allocation should strengthen the understand-ing of the needs of the elderly,and actively integrate the surrounding resources.It is necessary to improve the pro-fessionalism of the aging design and improve the quality of the physical environment.
