GREEN AND LOW-CARBON ORIENTED SYMBIOSIS AD LOCUM:EXPLOR-ING CONTEMPORARY CAMPUS RENEWAL DESIGN STRATEGIES
Viewing the"disconnection between cam-puses and cities"as an obstacle to green and low-carbon development of campus, this paper proposes a concept of"symbiosis ad locum"to promote the openness and integration of university campuses and cities,as a way to reduce the costs of green and low-carbon development,to optimize circular metabolism patterns, and to enhance the buildings'environmental performance through ef-ficient energy organization.Based on an analysis of the causes, the theoretical framework of holistic thinking, systems thinking and developmental thinking is intro-duced,leading to a design strategy of"multi-dimensional weaving"that points towards composite"symbiosis ad locum"goal. This is validated through the examination of three practical cases of university campus design.
