AN ANALYSIS OF THE SPATIAL ORGANIZATION AND ARCHITECTURAL EVOLUTION OF TRADITIONAL MOSQUES IN THE GANSU-QINGHAI-NINGXIA REGION
Gansu-Qinghai-Ningxia region boasts a vast number of high-value mosque architectural heritages.This paper adopts"phenomenon,typology,causation"as the approach to summarize the characteristics of tradi-tional mosque spaces in Gansu-Qinghai-Ningxia region in terms of organizational types and spatial evolution.Based on this,it explores the process of sinicization through the regional coupling of site selection and the construction of developing religions in the Chinese context,guided by the macro-research orientation of religious sinicization.It further reveals motivations behind the evolutions from the perspective of spatial evolution and social adaptation.
