The governance risk of children's digital games has become a key field of children's research and a global digital issue.Combing and summarizing the experience and characteristics of the risk governance of children's digital games in China is conducive to improving and innovating the governance schemes of children's digital games.Based on the analysis of 179 policy documents issued at the national level from 1990 to 2023,this study attempts to present the historical process and evolution of the risk governance of children's digital games in China.The research indicates that the governance hotspot of children's digital games risk in China has shifted from the single place management to the complex digital risk management.The main body of governance has changed from the supervision of single department to the coordination and co-governance of multiple subjects.The governance method has changed from a single policy tool to a combination of multiple policy tools.The governance goal has moved from digital security to a moderate balance between digital protection and digital participation.
