An Analysis of the Tragic Fate in the Ancient Greek Mythology--Take Oedipus the King as an Example
Tragic fate is an obvious feather of the ancient Greek mythology.Prometheus Bound,Oedipus the King and Medea are the most classical tragedies.Among them,Oedipus the King written by Sophocles tel s that Oedipus is trying to escape the fate of kil ing father and marrying mother.However,his attempt to escape pushes himself to the tragic fate.Through the tragic flaws of Oedipus,Sophocles reveals the arrogant,ignorant and impulsive aspects of human nature and implies the mysterious and irresistible power of fate.This paper takes Oedipus as an example to analyze the tragic fate of the ancient Greek mythology.
