Research on the relationship between groundwater and vegetation development in the West Liao River Basin based on RS and GIS
In the field of hydrogeology, people have always been very concerned about the hydrogeological and ecological geological environmental issues in arid and semi-arid areas.Remote sensing data is widely used in various fields due to its non-contact,comprehensive,accurate,and stable data quality characteristics. This article uses remote sensing technology combined with groundwater data, based on the concept of conditional vegetation coverage,to study the suitable depth of groundwater table for vegetation growth in the Xiliao River Basin. And the impact of vegetation coverage within different alti-tude and slope ranges was discussed. The results indicate that the suitable burial depth range for vegetation growth in the Xiliao River Basin is2~6 m,and within the altitude range of 0m to 200 m,the conditional vegetation coverage rate accounts for 46.23%.The vegetation coverage rate accounts for 80.90%when the slope is within the range of 0°~5°.The research re-sults have guiding value for ecological environment monitoring and restoration in the region, and can help relevant departments implement vegetation protection and management.
