Research on groundwater pollutant transport law of a coking project based on Visual MODFLOW
In order to study the impact of a coking project construction on the site and surrounding groundwater, and to scientifically and reasonably protect the groundwater environment,a hydro-geological conceptual model was constructed based on the investigation and evaluation of the hydro-geological conditions in the area.Visual MODFLOW software was used to es-tablish a numerical simulation model for the groundwater in the study area, simulating the distribution characteristics and mi-gration patterns of pollutants in the aquifer at different time periods, according to the simulation prediction results, the leaked pollutants have a certain degree of diffusion downstream along the aquifer, but the exceeding range of each pollution halo has not been moved out of the project boundary. The concentration of pollutants gradually decreases over time, and the scope of impact gradually decreases to disappear. The predicted concentration of pollutants for downstream groundwater environmental protection meets the standard requirements. The research results provide technical support for groundwater environmental im-pact assessment and groundwater pollution prevention of project construction.
