A review of research on arsenic sources, migration and detection techniques in groundwater
Arsenic(As)is one of the most ecologically important elements.Due to many geological and anthropogenic factors, the release of arsenic into groundwater can result in the contamination of water sources, adversely affecting human health and ecosystems, making its monitoring and control essential.Arsenic detection techniques are numerous and widely used in the laboratory, but accurate and rapid detection methods in the field have not yet been developed and uniformly ap-plied.This paper compares and explores the most common methods and techniques of arsenic detection technology in groundw-ater,and summarizes the important future research directions and development trends of its field detection technology. The study concluded that:the main sources of arsenic contamination are geological and anthropogenic;mining is probably the most commonly identified act of arsenic contamination in geological environments, while animal faeces and pesticides are common anthropogenic sources of contamination;a number of methodological techniques are currently available for the determination of different forms of arsenic in water samples, and laboratory-based equipment generally provides accurate and reproducible re-sults,but there is a pressing need for a rapid and accurate in situ measurement technique is urgently needed.Arsenic field de-tection technology has a large development potential, using separation technology, electrochemical technology,XRF technolo-gy and SERS technology may become an important research direction and development trend of future field arsenic detection technology.
