Application of comprehensive geophysical and geochemical prospecting method in Xiapu-Yangfanglin geothermal exploration in Tongshan county,Hubei province
Taking the key exploration area of Xiapu-Yangfanglin geothermal field in Tongshan County,Xianning City,Hubei Province as the research object,based on the two methods of instantaneous radon measurement and wide-area electro-magnetic method,the geothermal resources of the research area are surveyed,and the data and drawings of the survey results are used to analyse and interpret the results of physical and chemical exploration data in combination with the geological condi-tions and geophysical characteristics,so as to preliminarily identify the characteristics of the distribution of geothermal heat in the survey area,and to ultimately determine the Geothermal drilling location.Based on the ground investigation and analysis of the physical exploration results,it is known:The low apparent resistivity zone within the study area consists of muddy siltstone strata of the Silurian Formation,and the high apparent resistivity zone consists of Ordovician-Cambrian quartz sandstone and muddy greywacke strata.Yang Fanglin backslope in the depth of a certain dip,construction borehole in the avoidance of Xian-jiu high-speed protection range,is still in the turning end of the backslope,and physical interpretation of the existence of a large range of relative area of low resistance,the geothermal wells in the 1200 m after the resistivity is high,means that the Zhiliu System thermal storage cover,the actual has been constructed geothermal wells in the 1260m into the Ordovician Meso-zoic Ningguo Group of the quartz sandstone stratum,the quartz veins,joints and fissures are more developed,which provides a good channel for underground hot water.It is recommended that the relatively low resistance in the Cambrian(∈)be select-ed for the placement of boreholes in sections where the Silurian(S)strata are thicker.
