Evaluation of environmental impacts of coal mining on water resources——A case study of Hecheng coal mine
In order to investigate the impact of coal mining on the surrounding water resources environment, taking Hecheng coal mine as the research object, combined with the mine water supply and drainage system, wastewater treatment and reuse, discussing the regional hydro-geological conditions, the boundary range, the conditions of karst water replenishment, runoff and discharge, the current situation of water resources development and utilization and water resources influencing factors, and through the method of standard index method, empirical formulas, and the key monitoring cross-section sampling monitoring and so on,to carry out the assessment of the surface water environment, the coal system, and the coal mine during the operation period. Through the standard index method, empirical formula and sampling and monitoring of key monitoring sections, the impact analysis of the mine on the surface water environment, coal system, overlying aquifer, underlying aquifer, faults and trap columns during the operation period was carried out. The results show that the mine will not easily affect the surrounding surface water under normal working conditions, and the coal seams mined under the project will not easily affect the surrounding reservoirs and dams, and the mining will not damage the shallow aquifers, coal and sandstone aquifers, and the underlying aquifers, nor will it create the danger of karst water outbursts. However, the monitoring of this aspect should be strengthened during the construction of the mine.
