BIM Parameterized Modeling Method for Pipeline Components for Underground Pipeline General Survey
Constructing pipeline component models in a data-driven manner requires converting all 2D plane data into 3D visualization data, which takes a long modeling time. Therefore,a parameterized modeling method for BIM of pipeline components for underground pipeline general survey is proposed.Firstly, the main structure of un-derground pipelines is decomposed into multiple components, and the cross-sectional data of each component is used as the basis for parameterized modeling. Then,BIM technology is used to analyze the parameterized features of pipe-line components, construct a BIM project family library that includes geometric, material, and positional parameters, etc, and assign values to various types of parameters based on a small amount of basic data collected on site.Next, starting from geometric constraint relationships such as parallelism and tangency, define modeling constraint condi-tions.After determining the baseline for basic modeling, import various parameters from the BIM project family li-brary to obtain a 3D visualization model of pipeline components. The experimental results show that the proposed method has a shorter overall modeling time and can better assist in underground pipeline general survey work.
