Experimental study on fracture plugging laws of different lithology reservoirs
It is very important to clarify the fracture plugging laws of different lithology reservoirs to improve the success rate of temporary plugging fracturing. In this paper, hydraulic fracture models of reservoirs with different lithologies were prepared through downhole full diameter coring, splitting seams, laser scanning and 3D printing, the fracture plugging experiments were carried out based on the self-developed high pressure fracture plugging system, and the fracture plugging body and pumping curve were obtained. The results show that:(1)When the fracture width is 1 mm,using small size particle and powder can achieve effective in-fracture plugging in conglomerate, sandstone and volcanic rock fractures, and the plugging speed is fast and the stability is high.(2)When fracture width is no more than 4 mm,sandstone and volcanic rock fractures have multi-point plugging phenomenon, and the plugging body needs to be broken and reconstructed repeatedly.(3)When the fracture width is larger than 4 mm,the fiber and particles in conglomerate fracture can effectively bridge and plug, and the particle bridging in sandstone and volcanic rock fracture can be realized only after the cumulative fiber wall hanging reaches a certain amount.(4)The plugging speed of fractures in conglomerate reservoir is the fastest, and the amount of fluid used for plugging fractures in sandstone reservoir is about double of that of fractures in conglomerate reservoir with the same fracture width.
