Inversion method of quality factor of P-wave and S-wave based on frequency-dependent attenuation elastic impedance
The formation quality factor Q has great potential in the exploration of shale gas reservoirs,tight gas and hydrates.Firstly,based on the approximate constant Q model and the weak viscoelastic approximation assumption,the PP wave elastic impedance equation of viscoelastic medium is derived,which effectively reflects the frequency variation characteristics of the P-wave and S-wave velocity and density,and P-wave and S-wave quality factor of the formation.Secondly,the backtracking fast iterative soft threshold algorithm is used to realize the attenuation elastic impedance inversion.In order to further improve the stability of multi-parameter inversion,a direct extraction method of P-wave and S-wave quality factors based on the differences of attenuation elastic impedance at different frequencies in the logarithmic domain is proposed.Finally,the noisy synthetic data of Marmousi2 model was used to verify the applicability and stability of the inversion method,and the method was applied to the actual working area.The results are consistent with the drilling interpretation results,indicating that the method has certain effectiveness and potential in the application of oil and gas distribution prediction.
