"Second home"selection behavior of amenity migrants:Taking Sumadang of Enshi Prefecture as an example
Ecologically healthy and livable rural space is a key element in achieving rural revitalization.By creating a"second home"for urban residents,it is possible to realize the ecological development of rural industries and meet people's desire for a better life, achieving a win-win goal.Taking amenity migrants escaping from cities as the research group, this study constructed a theoretical mechanism for their"second home"selection behavior.Based on an empirical examination using field survey data of 300 respondents from Sumadang,Enshi Prefecture,Hubei Province, the selection process and influencing paths were analyzed. The study constructed a selection behavior model for the group based on differentiated analysis. The results indicate:1)Infrastructure conditions are the critical factor for the"second homes"to meet the material needs of amenity migrants, with infrastructure levels showing a significant positive correlation with selection behavior.2)The demand for"pure culture",which goes beyond mere material desires, plays an important mediation role in selection behavior across cultural, social, and ecological aspects.3)The selection behavior of amenity migrants is closely related to their personal endowment characteristics, with significant differences in selection behavior based on gender roles, health status, and economic strength.4)Traits such as ability, interests, and values also significantly influence the selection behavior of amenity migrants. Therefore,it is necessary to adapt to local development conditions, organically combining industrial prosperity with ecological health and livability, and providing decision-making support to promote rural revitalization.
