Urban Entrepreneurial Dynamics Under Digital Economy——The Moderating Effect of Entrepreneurial Environment
Based on the panel data of 256 major prefecture-level cities from 2015 to 2019,we investigate the effect of digital economy on urban entrepreneurial dynamics.We use a fixed effect model to study the modera-ting role of entrepreneurial environment.The results show that digital economy can significantly improve cities entrepreneurial dynamics.On the whole,the entrepreneurial environment does not play a significant moderating role on urban entrepreneurial dynamics under digital economy.However,in addition to the govern-ment environment,such factors as public service,financial support,market environment and human resources play a significant positive moderating role on urban entrepreneurial dynamics in digital economy.Regional het-erogeneity analysis shows that the digital economy in western cities has a stronger enabling effect on entrepre-neurial dynamics than that in central and eastern cities.The conclusion is expected to provide policy reference for optimizing the environment for entrepreneurship and innovation,improving the environment for entrepre-neurship and enhancing the regional entrepreneurial vitality.
