Urban agglomerations,as the clusters of green innovation subjects in China,are an important driving force for the high-quality development of green economy in the country.Enterprises,as important green inno-vation subjects,are the key to the green development of urban agglomerations.This paper takes 676 enterprises in heavily polluting industries in 5 national and 5 regional urban agglomerations from 2009 to 2018 as samples,and uses social network analysis to study the impact mechanism of intercity environmental collaborative govern-ance network density on enterprise green innovation.The study finds that the density of intercity environmental collaborative governance has a significant positive impact on corporate green innovation while technology alli-ances are intermediary variables that affect the intercity environmental collaborative governance network density on corporate green innovation,and they are regulated by the economic level of urban agglomerations.
