The Two Mountains theory is an action guide for the development of ecological civiliza-tion in socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Under the Two Mountains theory,ecological civilization education in universities in ethnic minority areas is extremely important.It explains the internal logic of coordinating the construction of ecological civilization in colleges and universities in ethnic minority areas with the overall development of students,promoting the development of ecological civilization between the state and ethnic minority areas,building a community of human destiny and satisfying the needs of human beings for a better life.It points out that the ecological civilization education in colleges and universities in some minority areas is not systematic,the quality of ecological civilization education in colleges and universities needs to be improved,and the students'ecological theory and practical ability are lacking.It is pro-posed that the state should support ecological civilization education in colleges and universities in minority areas,promote the idea of ecological civilization in colleges and universities in minority areas,improve the curriculum system and teaching model of ecological civilization education in colleges and universities in minority areas,and improve the ecological civilization literacy of col-lege teachers in minority areas to improve the quality of ecological civilization education in colle-ges and universities in minority areas,so that the Two Mountains theory can be better inherited and carried forward in minority areas.
