From an Economic and Cultural Perspective:the Integration of Han and Li Ethnic Groups in Hainan Island During the Ming and Qing Dynasties
During the Ming and Qing dynasties,with the influx of a large number of Han people migrated to Hainan,the relationship between the Han and Li ethnic groups became closer,and economic and cultural exchanges increased significantly.The active commercial trade between Han and Li,deepening cultural connections.This period not only the sinicization of the Li peo-ple but also the assimilation of Han into Li culture,with numerous records of intermarriage be-tween the two groups.The economic and cultural interactions between Han and Li in Hainan during the Ming and Qing dynasties facilitated the integration of these ethnic groups,and promo-ted the economic and cultural development of the Hainan region and the social progress of the Li ethnic group in Hainan.
