In May 2023,China and Ecuador signed a free trade agreement,which will have a significant impact on bilateral trade between the two countries.By analyzing the current status and competition and complementary relationship between China and Ecuador,the thesis uses dy-namic recursive GTAP model simulation analysis of the trade effect of the FTA.Studies have found that the scale of bilateral trade between China and Ecuador has increased year by year,and the trade complementarity between the two countries is strong.The FTA tariff reduction will promote the growth of bilateral trade between China and Ecuador,reduce technological trade barriers,and improve the impact of trade facilitation on the trade between the two countries,and the FTA is more conducive to expanding the exports of China.The two parties in China need to accelerate the effectiveness and implementation of various clauses of the FTA.China should in-crease its imported resource-based products and expand its exports and direct investment.
