The construction of child-friendly cities in China is receiving increasing attention.This paper examines Dalian's strengths in its effors to become a child-friendly city,including its robust economic base,friendly social environment,and strong policy support.Meanwhile,this research identifies several areas for improvement,such as the deficiencies in public services,infrastructure,and children's active participation in development.To address these issues,the paper suggests adopting a child-first approach,enhancing child-friendly public services,improving the inclusivity and welfare systems for children,and upgrading the quality of urban space.Hopefully,implementing these strategies will boost Dalian's development as a child-friendly city.
